Welcome to Truckputer.com this site is a chronological recording of my Ram 1500 truckputer project. The goal is to document the progress from installation to regular upgrades of the system and truck, as well as inspire others to pursue carputing for them selves.
The Truck
2008 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab, Big Horn Edition. The truck was purchased at Arrigo Dodge in Palm Beach. With plenty of space this truck is an ideal candidate for a computer. There is room for a small keyboard, numerous locations to hide wires, and averages 15 miles of computing fun per gallon. This particular trim is equipped with a 4.7 L V8 Flex-Fuel ready E85 Ethanol compatible engine, and goes 0-60 in an undetermined amount of time.
